Summer Greeting

Here in Japan, we have a custom to exchange a card in the mid-summer saying "Good wishes in this hot summer" for years. The weather is really hard to survive, the heat and high humidity!!
Here I found some cute stickers of the summer greeting. Goldfish is one of the symbolic animal for the summer. Very popular during the season and you see it everywhere you go, on postcards, ads, magazines, books, etc. Cute, eh?
Have a great summer days, girls!

This is one of the things that I love about Japan: tradition and culture. I haven't heard about that before. Such a nice tradition! "Good wishes in this hot summer" to you, too.

That's an adorable postcard! My one visit to Japan was during July, and I've never experienced such oppressive heat and humidity like Japan in July. I hope you're withstanding the heat.

We have been experiencing similar hot and humid days in England, it has been hardwork in a stuffy office. The storms came today. We don't have a pleasant custom like your to helps us through.

Hi Mimie.
It's impossible to translate into English as we Japanese use the phrases to send the summer wish cards. Umm, it measn "I care about you in this hot summer", like that!
